We advise on freedom of information, data protection and other information issues, to ensure that Councils, schools and public bodies meet the legal requirements.

We regularly advise on freedom of information, data protection, rights of access by third parties and public interest immunity and provide targeted training and policy advice to ensure Councils, local schools and academies meet their legal requirements and follow Information Commissioner guidance.

We advise on the Freedom of Information Act 2000, including the application of exclusions and appeals to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and Information Tribunal. We advise on data privacy and sharing arrangements, and shared services arrangements between public bodies together with any data privacy implications.

We can also help clients in respect to the Data Protection Act 1998 including subject access requests and data protection breaches, as well as on the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
